A tiny 'sunny bay' hamlet on St. Paul's Bay's western edge — a heritage walk through 5,000 years of history and quieter coastal living.

Walkability
Good. Flat bay area. Heritage trail accessible on foot. Connected to St. Paul's Bay promenade.
Parking
Good. Easier than Bugibba. Marina area has paid parking. Residential streets free.
Noise
Low. Quiet residential atmosphere. Marina generates gentle activity.
Transport
Moderate. Buses to Valletta (40 min) via St. Paul's Bay. Less frequent than Bugibba routes.

The Xemxija Heritage Walk passes Roman-era apiaries — stone structures carved to house beehives — that are among the best-preserved in the Mediterranean. The bees produced honey that was considered a luxury product across the Roman Empire. Malta's ancient name, Melita, may derive from meli (honey) in Greek — and Xemxija's apiaries are physical proof of why.
